STEP 1

It is usually easier to set up lettering on the counter top rather than on the fusing press bed. If using Polytran do not remove carrier paper. If using Flock then position lettering as desired. Hold the row together with our special high temperature tape (available in 9mm widths). Set the fusion press temperature to 185°C for Flock or 170°C for Polytran.

STEP 2

Position shirt on the press and pre-fuse for 10 seconds. Carefully lift the lettering with the tape and position it on the shirt.

STEP 3

Place a sheet of clean release paper over the lettering. Because of the risk of letters shifting slightly when moved it is safer to "tack" the letters down first. Do this by "fusing" for about half a second or so. This fusing should be just enough to tack the lettering but not enough to fix them. This should allow you to re-position any letters not quite in place.

STEP 4

Fuse for 10 seconds at medium pressure. After fusing do not rush to raise the press head. Un-snap the pressure then gently raise the press head to the fully open position.

STEP 5

Allow shirt to cool down then carefully remove the tape. If there is any doubt about lettering adhesion then replace the paper and re-fuse.
